After all, this puzzle book is not about providing reference information. It's not about teaching you the Win32 API itself. It is about teaching you how to interpret C/C++ documentation for yourself so you can create your own declarations and solve complex API-related problems. It's about helping you understand the API calling mechanism clearly so you can effectively apply the information in my API book in cases where there are no specific examples available or where you are trying to apply a function in a way that is not shown in an example. |

Why is this necessary? Because the Win32 API keeps growingnew functions are added dailyand I don't have the time to keep creating mammoth books to cover these new functions. And nobody else seems to be interested in the job. |

If you are able to solve all of the puzzles in this book, you won't need another mammoth API book. You'll be able to go straight to the C/C++ documentation and create your own declarations quickly and accurately. In fact, you will be qualified to write your own VB programmer's book on any of the Win32 extension libraries. |
